Our travelators are taking a short break for a much-needed refresh! Starting mid-April 2025, we’ll be sprucing things up to bring you smoother, more reliable rides.

Need a hand during the upgrades? Park on Ground Level via Alfred Street or Myer Car Park (Level 1, 2 or 3) for the best parking and access.

What does this mean for me?

Your usual parking and access may be temporarily affected during the travelator upgrades. We’ll keep you updated on progress, alternative access routes, and any further potential impacts. We appreciate your understanding.

Where is the best place to park?

Heading to Woolworths, The Reject Shop, Boost Juice, Priceline, OPSM, Medibank, Vodafone, Tips & Toes, any of the banks, Flight Centre, Adairs, BWS, Stacey & Stacey, Lantern Mart or SILK Laser Clinics – we recommend parking on Ground Level via Alfred Street or Myer Car Park (Level 1, 2 or 3) for the easiest access. Visiting other stores? Myer Car Park (Levels 1, 2 or 3) is your best bet. This helps keep parking closest to the travelator works zone free for customers shopping in that area. 

What will the best centre entrance be?

During the upgrades, the most convenient way to enter Townsville Shopping Centre will be via Ground Level, Alfred Street entrance if you're attempting to access any of the above stores listed. This will ensure easy access to the centre while works are underway.

When will the travelator upgrades be completed?
